~Part I~

It's a hot summer night just North of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and All along the Mississippi, The Louisiana nights seem darker than before. Especially along this stretch of the river...

along this part of the river there stood an old colonial mansion, White as snow, the old mansion still seems to have its glow The place was know as the "LOA house" which was a well-deserved name, ever since the first owner Jean Le Noir, who was a voodoo priest, a Houngan so they say he fought a great battle and died at the hand of an evil Bocor’s will! and now they say, that he's been walking the house ever since that day.

The years that pass are not kind to the ol'house no one dared to live there and it became overgrown with growth and life that came up from the dark banks of the mighty Mississippi. rumors were rampant among the town people. They said that the old house was haunted by a voodoo priest and some said they seen dark demonic shapes creeping around the house at night when you would hear the drums... That’s when it became known as the 'LOA' House. If they only knew...

The house remained empty for many years until 1932 that was the year that the Lafayette’s moved in. Sarah is with child and David is the man. This is no Abigail, this child will survive And Grandfather dear, why did they bring him here? White as snow, that is all he sees, he's been blind for years. They were from out of town and had not heard the stories about the old place. until it was to late...

It's late Friday night all is quiet outside except for the soft sounds of insects coming from the river Sarah Lafayette is sleeping, her husband is awake suddenly he hears a sound coming from the woods behind the mansion, softly at first but growing louder and more rhythmic. The sound was unmistakable. It was the sound of drums! Little did David realize that what he heard were voodoo drums, They’re howling at the moon it feels like his majesty was here.

He walked toward the window that looked out to the back, toward the woods. The moon was full and white and he can hear the drums of voodoo, echo in the night. What he doesn’t see are the Four shadows heading for the graves in the wooded maze. Four shadows looking for the place without a trace.

Its Midnight and they're here, at The old burial ground that is part of the estate. Hidden by the heavy trees David and his wife had not seen it when they decided to buy the house. this is where they say Jean Le Noir he sleeps! The shadows move, They're here to feed the dead. The shadows move, Cause there is life after death just Be patient and you will see.

The four figures begin to emerge from the shadows stepping into a clearing just outside of the voodoo graveyard at the head of the group was a tall dark-skinned man who stood proud and noble, Doctor Le Croix, the voodoo sorcerer. Even in the pale moonlight you could see the power of this man. Behind him was a middle-aged women who wore a brightly colored gown wrapped around her full body, she was adorned with a variety of jewelry that were undoubtedly magical charms and totems for use in her voodoo rituals. her name was Madame Sarita, she's got the snake in her. And following so closely beside her that she seem to be a part of her was Lula Chevalier, They say she's the girl that no one ever sees. slinking a few feet behind them, glancing around every few seconds making sure that no one was watching, as they made their way through the woods was the ever-careful Salem. Salem was the Lafayette's servant, he belongs to the estate and the Lafayette’s are unaware that their butler Salem, he is here, Voodoo has been his life. Voodoo cuts deep like a knife. The shadows move They're here to feed the dead. the shadows move 'Cause there is Life after death Be patient and you will see...

After an hour or so the drums died down and David made his way back bed. The last thought that went through his mind before he drifted off to sleep was that they never should have come to the "LOA" house...

Saturday evening A narrow path runs along the river From the burial ground you might see it Leading to a temple of secrets Where they meet once a week. to dance and feast Lula is dancing to the voodoo drums Twisting, turning, round and round She is ready to receive the LOA, She is ready for the God, This one is Damballah one of the powerful Voodoo gods.

Lula feels a total emptiness inside, As the God Damballah gets ready for her ride. Casting out from Lula's head, One of two souls that seems to be dead. Traveling deep in a trance Lula's legs are getting weak. The LOA has seized its horse! The people around the girl could hear her hissing, "...sssssss...ssssss..." she begins speaking with a strange voice and they realize that Lula is not the one that's speaking now and that Lula is not the one that's lying down. “Drink, drink girl, drink the chicken's blood” Doctor Le Croix chanted in time with the drumbeats. “Drink, drink girl, drink and feed the God” lf this is all you think they do, oh you better think again 'Cause there is so much more to voodoo, oh than meets the eye Human hair on waxen dolls, pins through their knees Pins through their little heads, and through their bellies Ahh they're coming to get you, they're coming for you. ..
