      DURING the 1950's, teenagers went to drive-in theaters and air conditioned cinemas to see the latest movies marketed just for them. There were films like REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE starring James Dean, musicals featuring singers like Elvis Presley in LOVING YOU, Jerry Lee Lewis singing the title tune in HIGH SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL, and Bill Haley and the Comets belting out "Rock Around The Clock" in BLACKBOARD JUNGLE. For fans of horror movies, American International and a few other studios made films like I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF and THE BLOB. Besides mixing horror and teenagers, these films added "rock'n'roll" music, though in some cases, it sounded more like an adult's attempt at recreating the sound. Certainly didn't sound like the hit songs on the radio and none of them hit the airwaves or record charts. Come as we look back at Ken Miller's slightly out-of-synch "Eeny Meeny Miney Mo", Jerry Blaine's Puppy Love" or John Ashley crooning out "You've Got To Have Ee-ooo!"
