THE LOST VOYAGE

PLOT
The S.S. Corona Queen has been found, after many many years lost in the Bermuda
triangle. Now a team of TV reporters are going out to the big ship to see if
they can find any paranormal activities on board. Unfortunately for them, they
found just what they were looking for.

REVIEW
This is one of many movies that Ghost Ship ripped off. This is a totally ok ghost
movie, which never gets boring. As most ghost movies, this plays on the creepy
level, it succeeds quite alright but I have a feeling that it would have been a
lot creepier if it would have been made in Japan. The computer graphics and effects
are far from realistic, but very nice to watch so I won't remove stars for that
as I thought the computer graphics were comfortable to the eye.

The directing is quite allright but nothing special, it does feel as if it was
shot on at least a one million dollar budget though, which I'm almost sure it was.
The acting is also good and there are a lot of 'Oh I've seen that one before but
I have no idea what the name is' actors/actresses. Judd Nelson is the strongest
of all characters and he is after all one of the best TV-movie actors that exist,
his performance in the Cabin By The Lake movies was also very good, when can we
expect him to pop up in a cinema horrormovie?

Lost Voyage is nothing that we haven’t seen before, we saw it in Death Ship, we
saw it in The Triangle and we ALL saw it in Ghost Ship, but this was before Ghost
Ship and The Triangle were made so this is the first Haunted Ship movie that has
came out in years. Of course it was released after Ghost Ship and The Triangle in
USA, but here in Sweden we got this almost a year before The Triangle. Lost Voyage
has been released world wide on video and DVD so it surprises me that USA was the
last country to get it. I think it's definitely worth a watch.

GORE
It's a ghost movie for crying out loud! Don't ever expect any gore from a ghost
movie. But we eventually get some tiny gore anyway, a man gets electrocuted in
a very graphic way, and another one gets a boat chain bashed into his face, breaking
his skull.

SOUNDTRACK
Quite an eerie soundtrack but nothing out of the ordinary. A lot of loud noises
to keep you on the edge of the seat, it's cheap yes, but it works.

BOTTOM LINE
Totally ok haunted ship movie which is totally worth a rent. I prefer this to all
other ghost ship movies out there, The Triangle being the worst. If you want to watch
a good creepy ghost movie, this is the one for you.
