REVIEW
Well this was different. I have never before seen an Indian movie
so I didn't know what to expect. What I got was a dramacomedy with
a slight resemblance to modern slashers. I still have no idea what
I just witnessed. While this starts out as a pure slasher, it
quickly turns into a Hindi comedymusical. When the movie is almost
over it goes back a little to the slasher movie concept by ripping
of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" by making the friends hit
a man in a raincoat with their car and throwing in the weird creepy
guy who screams 'There is someone in the back of your car'
after a girl has stopped for petrol, but unlike Urban Legend
where the girl turns on the radio and starts singing along to
"Total Eclipse Of The Heart", this girl starts listening to the
Mission Impossible theme song. Speaking of ripping off famous
slashers, this also has the sexnoise toiletroom scene from the
opening of Scream 2 if you know what I mean.

The acting is odd since the whole movie is just trippy, I mean,
how in the world did they manage to throw in all those scenes where
people just start singing and dancing everywhere. The directing
looks good and definitely suitable for cinemas. This will probably
find its way to DVD and VHS in Great Britain but I don't know if
this will ever be viewed by the American audience, it's just too
weird for anyone to watch. It's also way too long.

What beat me about this movie was that they spoke both Hindi and
English, I didn’t know that they did that in India, it was very
confusing as the subtitles disappeared now and then and you had
to try to understand what they said in English. This is only
entertaining because you laugh so hard, but really, I can't see
anyone that isn't a die-hard slasher fan watching this movie
unless they are from India.

GORE
Only some non-gory stabbings.

SOUNDTRACK
VERY INDIAN INDEED! We get lots of Indian pop music and some
guitar music along with some flute music. As I said before we
also get to hear the Mission Impossible theme for a short moment.

BOTTOM LINE
Very weird Indian slashermusicalcomedy that is certainly not for
everyone. Only people with patience and three hours to kill should
watch this movie as it's just not that good. I only rated it
with two stars as I liked making fun of it, so if you are looking
for a scary serious slasher, this is not the movie that you are
looking for I'm afraid.
