INFESTED

PLOT

have a reunion after a funeral for one of their friends.
The bugs take over the bodies of the friends and turn them
into violent zombies.

REVIEW
Okay Dokay, this was different... but did I like it? I guess
I kind of did. This is not scary by any means but it sure as
hell has me rolling on the floor laughing. This was cheesy
horror at its best and you can't help loving it. It's like
a cross between Vampires, Creepy Crawlers (aka They Nest) and
Dawn Of The Dead. Now, I know many of you probably won't like
this movie, especially if you're not very open minded. It starts
out kind of slow, but if you can get past the first half hour,
I'm telling you, it's worth it.

Amy Jo Johnson, whom we recognize from the TV series Felicity,
is probably the best actor in this movie. That doesn't tell you
a lot though, she is good, but the rest of the cast is kind of
average and you don't get to root for anyone, and we all know
that there has to be someone to root for in a horrormovie, right?
The directing is standard DTV looking. Wishmaster 4 was better
directed than this though so I can't say that I'm too impressed,
could've been worse since it doesn't look like a Dead Alive
production, but it sure as hell could've been better.

It's rare that you get movies like this anymore so you have to
enjoy the ones you get. Basically, this could have been made
by anyone, but these guys were the ones who did it and I think
we should all be grateful to get something that smells of a bit
originality for once, and not just a dressed up killer killing
hot looking teens (but oh I love those movies), or a giant
creature of some kind (usually a reptile) killing hot looking
teens. This time, there's only one person that you can call a
teen, and that's Amy, playing Jesse, and she's still quite far
from looking like a teen slasher scream queen...

GORE
Oh this is gorefilled fun, first we get a really gory slashed
throat, then a guy rips his own head off and poor Amy keeps on
getting sprayed with blood time after time. We also get a
very gory leg injury and an 80's looking burnt face. Then there's
the not so gory stomach-impaling kill. If you're impressed by
cheap special effects we also get a person walking around
with no body, just legs, and flies come out of them.

SOUNDTRACK
I think the soundtrack was meant to be very 60's as there was no
recent music at all. All we got was some unknown pop-rock and
some ER sounding guitar/piano background music. Then we have
the oh so cool Da Da Da song played a few times aswell.

BOTTOM LINE
This is not something that you stumble onto everyday. This is
one crazy ass film and I loved it! This is not scary at all,
but it's deliciously cheesy and treats you with many cool
special effects and makes you laugh harder than you ever laughed
to a horrormovie before. Caution, don't take this movie too
seriously, this is only for people who are ready to have some
fun for once and not just get scared. I do recommend this to
everyone though as I'm hoping that there will be a sequel.
