FRANKENTHUMB

PLOT
Dr. Frankenthumb and his hunchbacked assistant Humpy are in the
process of creating the cleverest person in the world by putting
together body parts from dead thumb villagers to a man. When the
man is finally alive, he has become a monster, as Humpy got the
wrong brain for Dr. Frankenthumb. Now the villagers are upset and
want to kill the ugly beast.

REVIEW
Let me start this review off by telling you that this is not a
horrormovie. Instead, this is a very amusing parody of Frankenstein.
The fact that it's only 30 minutes long didn't bother me too much
as I thought that it felt like a full-length feature anyway. The
little thumb people look incredibly cool and real. I had no idea
what kind of movie this was when I started watching it but hell, this
was funny, a bit like Lego Chainsaw Massacre.

All thumbs are great actors, especially the Italian thumb and Humpy,
oh what a name. Dr. Frankenthumb was kind enough to name his monster
Pepper since he thought that he spiced up their lives. The movie
looks incredibly good and some scenes doesn't even look like it's
fake, the scene when the camera moves along the morbid hallway of
the castle for example.

This has to be one of my favourite parodies really. I mean, you
can't beat a sentence like 'Me not like song'. I am a sucker for
short low budget horror parodies so this was a very pleasant surprise
for me. Next thing I'm going to do is to see if the crew behind this
movie made any other movies like it. Since it was only 30 minutes
long I can't write a very long and in-depth review, but all I can
really tell you is that I liked this!

GORE
Nope, it's thumbs for crying out loud.

SOUNDTRACK
We get some eerie music from Frankenstein ofcourse but also some
classical music, Morning Glory style. Then we get some carnival
sounding music aswell but that's basically it.

BOTTOM LINE
As I'm a sucker for short lowbudget horror parodies this was a killer
movie for me and a really pleasant surprise. The movie looks very
well made and it all looks very professional. I still don't get how
they managed to make the thumb people look so real though. If you
get the chance to watch this, take it!
