FEAR
RUNS SILENT

PLOT
Some students from Sasquatch High go on a fieldtrip to the snowy
mountains. What they don't know is that there is something up
there, waiting for them. When their teacher is attacked by some
kind of animal, the students have to struggle to stay alive as
it seems as if one victim wasn't enough...
REVIEW
I've been wanting to see this for maybe a year now. Why, you ask,
I don't know, I guess I've just always been a big fan of scream-
style covers like this had. I've been reading a lot about this
movie and I don't think that one single person has anything good
to say about Fear Runs Silent, well now there is. I really liked
this movie, it was different and it was wacky. I thought this was
a slasher, well it's not, it's actually about a bunch of sasquatches
terrorizing students, very original.
The directing does not look as low budget as I thought it would,
it actually looks pretty good and you can ask yourself why this
didn't get onto cinemas since it was made back in the big horror
wave in 1999. The acting is also pretty good, especially from
Suzanne Davis who played the part as Kerry.
I actually can't find anything bad to say about this movie at all.
You might want to know that I watched the terrible horrorthriller
Sasquatch not long ago, and comparing to that, this was a masterpiece.
The river scene was just incredible and the suspense was really
high. How people can think this is so bad really beats me. I mean,
these students are put in catastrophical situations all the time,
each one worse than the other.
I almost feel as if this deserves four stars instead of three, but
it wasn't all that good, I think I just liked it so much because
I was expecting a really bad movie. Another thing that bothered me
about this movie was all the jumping from scene to scene, it was
really annoying and confusing, and the end was just so not likeable.
I also think that naming the high school 'Sasquatch High' was a
very stupid idea and felt very cheesy. Still, I did enjoy this to
it's fullest and I am definitely going to recommend this to anyone
who still has any interest in watching it.
GORE
Well, it could've used a little more blood but it was descent. We
get a quite gory ripped off leg, some intestines, some quite gory
impalings and a foot jammed in a bear scissor.
SOUNDTRACK
It was alright but I kind of felt that this will feel very old in
10 or 15 years so I have to complain a bit there. A lot of various
pop music that would never be played on the radio, and some moody
music to set the atmosphere.
BOTTOM LINE
Way underrated, I thought this was a really cool movie and I really
think you should give it a chance for it is not as bad as people
make it out to be. Do not let the scream style cover scare you off
as this is nothing like Scream or I Know What You Did Last Summer.
This isn't even a slasher. If you want to see a killer Sasquatch
flick, check this out and try to ignore that the movie Sasquatch aka
The Untold was ever released.
