DO YOU WANNA KNOW A SECRET?

PLOT
Six friends go to Florida to party down, only to realise that
a demented serial killer has come with them, leaving obscure
notes saying 'Do You Wanna Know A Secret?'. It seems as if everyone
who died had some connection to the six friends... is there a
killer among them, or is there just someone who doesn't like them?

REVIEW
Oh dear lord! I can not believe I sat through this horrible slasher
again. It's like, the only thing that gets you through the movie
is the fact that you kind of want to know what the secret is...
and when you finally do find out, what a crap secret, if you can
even call it a secret, come on, I think we had all figured that
out anyway. There are so many plot holes in this movie that it
should get a reward for being able to make so many flaws. I guess
they found out that movies were too predictable these days and
decided that the audience shouldn't have the slightest chance of
finding out who the killer is.

What might surprise you about this movie is that the acting is
extremely good and so is the directing, making this look like a
cinema film. Actually, it looked very much like I Know What You
Did Last Summer, the camerawork was very similar and so were the
notes, hmmm, now, where ever could they have gotten that idea?
Dorie Barton is a good actress but I think they could've picked
someone more suitable for the part as Beth. I know I've seen Dorie
somewhere before, in some sitcom or something, but it was on
Swedish television so I can't put my finger on what it was called.

This basically gets one star for having such good directing
and acting, even if it feels as if the director, Thomas Bradford,
sometimes try to hard to make it look like a high budget production.
The story is poor and the mask was ridiculous and not scary at
all, instead, I actually laughed out loudly the first time it
popped up on the screen. What's so dangerous about making low budget
slashers look good is that you get the feeling that it will be a
good movie from the moment you start watching it, just because
it looks good. Getting expectations at all for a low budget slasher
is nothing that you wanna do. When it comes down to it, I think
I hated all the fake scares most though.

GORE
Bring in the burgers cause we have plenty of tomato sauce and
cheese to put on them. We get tons of slit throats and non-
violent killings, yay! If you didn't get it I was sarcastic.

SOUNDTRACK
Now this is a mixed bag, I actually enjoyed this. We get some
hip rock music, perhaps a bit too much pop music, some grunge,
some techno music, some wannabe eerie piano music, and yes,
we do indeed get some church hymn music aswell.

BOTTOM LINE
With a cool, hip cover and stylish directing, this movie does not
live up to itself. This is one of the worst modern slashers that
I have ever seen. But since this did have really nice looking
directing and quite good acting, I just can't seem to be able to
give it 0 stars. If you decide to sit through this just to find
out what the secret is though, don't bother, you will have figured
out the secret without knowing it 20 minutes into the movie.
