CUTTING
CLASS

PLOT
The students and teachers at a high school are getting killed by a
mysterious killer. As Paula is torn between truths and lies she has to
make a quick decision on who she can trust... before it's too late.
REVIEW
Cutting Class is probably one of the worst slasher to come out of the 80's,
although we have plenty of crappier slashers coming out these days. The
plot is very weak, even for a slasher, and unoriginal in every way. A big
mistake that they made in this movie, was trying to throw in dull piece of
crap humour here and there, which was too bad to be laughed at.
The acting is downright crap, even from Brad Pitt. The characters are very
uninspired, and for once, you just wish that everyone would die so that
the movie can end. My expectations for the acting part was quite big though,
as almost all actors have been in some movie that I've seen, and played
their parts almost flawlessly. The directing isn't something that you
pick up on as that also is very boring and average and adds nothing that
we haven’t seen before in a slasher.
Even if this is one of the worst slashers of the 80's, it did manage to
keep me entertained through most of the movie. I cannot give this only one
star, as I have seen recent movies that are far much worse, so I've decided
to give this two stars, despite the fact that it's a piece of rubbish, it
is still somewhat entertaining, and looks professional, so you can only greet
it with two stars for trying.
GORE
All very unoriginal, as usually in a slasher we get the slit throat. Also
we get an axe in the face, which we've seen so many times before. And the
way overused hammer in the head scene, but I'm willing to overlook that as
I've only seen that in more recent slashers.
SOUNDTRACK
The soundtrack is all very 80's. We get a lot of electric guitar music, mixed
with an organ at one point in the movie. And that's about it.
BOTTOM LINE
This isn't a masterpiece, and it's not even good, but it's a bit entertaining
so I'll rate it with two stars. The suspense is absent during all of the
movie, and so is the good acting. It's not as bad as Return To Horror High,
but it gets close. This movie is only to be viewed for those who want to kill
an hour and a half, so if you're one of those, then go ahead and watch it,
it is fairly entertaining.
