Others return to the studio! (Update 08/01/09)
That's right ghouls, we're headin back to the studio! We have recently began laying down tracks to our currently untitled new album. We have a ton of songs and we may break it up into 2 (maybe 3) albums. We are recording and producing this ourselves at our own Webb Of Despair. We guarentee that this album will be heavy as all HELL!!

**Recording Update**
Greetings fiends and foul ones... Marquis here. Just wanna fill you in on the new album. Well we are finished tracking & mixing. Today (9/27) we go back in to master the new album. I gotta say, it sounds amazing!!
To refresh your memory, the album is called "Under the Suntset" and it tells the story of a man who falls in love with a vampire and the torment and sorrow that it brings. Big Tony from Rubber Wolf Graphics is doing the artwork for us again. You may remember his work on "Garden of Rage". We're really excited about that. We're also hoping for a Halloween release.

Hey we’re recording Again!! WOO HOO!!
That's right ghouls, we're headin back to the studio at the end of the month. In fact we're heading back to Mansion Audio where it all began. We are really excited about this. It's always great workin with Jeff and the boys. It is also the first time for J.R. in the studio. The album is going to be called "Under the Sunset". It's a concept album. I know there's a rash of them lately but I've been working on this now for a couple of years and it has finally come together. We're hoping for an October release. So keep your fingers crossed. We've posted a couple of demos of a couple of the songs, so if ya haven't heard them yet, go and check'em out.
The Story
A Man meets woman on the street. She appears to be in trouble and takes her in, he instantly falls in love. He notices something different about her and she tells him what she is. After some hesitation he decides to persue her, she then turns him into a Vampire. She watches as he turns, then shortly after, she departs. Man waits for years at his tomb for her to return to him. After some time, she returns to his grave one day and notices him sitting there. He says his peace, she pleads for forgiveness and then he beheads her for her betrayal and thus destroys her. He then accepts his fate and leaves to live out his vampiric life alone.

DVD featuring a short film (Broken Vessels), videos, live performance and behind the scenes footage from the gothic horror metal band "Others". The band hails from Binghamton NY, home of Rod Serling and the inspiration of his series, "The Twilight Zone". The movie, "Broken Vessels" is a silent film and tells the tale of four friends that decide to investigate strange happenings at an old military base and the unfortunate events that await them. The movie is built around the album (of the same title), with an original score by Mark Dickinson. It is along the lines of a concept video featuring band performances within the story line.

Others - "Broken Vessels" the Movie...
Hey, we're makin a mini movie... Yep, that's right. "Broken Vessels". Well, it's more like a concept video. It's five videos tied in with a story line in a "Silent Film" format. Done in traditional B/W with title boards to tell the story. I love the old films and this is my ode to them. The story is about 4 unfortunate souls who decide to check out rumours of strange happenings at a retired military base and the tragic fate that awaits them. The "movie" features all songs from our (soon to be released) new E.P. and an original score by yours truly. It will be part of a CD/DVD that will feature, not only the album and movie but 2/4 more videos, a behind the scenes "makin of" the album and the movie, photo gallery and a full concert. THE DIVA BIDS FAREWELL
That's right, folks! After 6 years of being the wailing siren of OTHERS, I've decided that I need a break. Unfortunately, due to personal conflicts, I feel that I'm unable to continue with the balancing act. In the time that has passed since I became a 'professional' musician, my ideals of what I want for my life have changed and since I'm personally involved with M@D, it has put a huge strain on our 'relationship'. The only way I can get the time that I need to be a 'regular' person and for M@D to continue to do what he loves more than anything is for me to respectfully bow out of his project. I do this with much regret (imagine cutting off your arm. Although it's always been there, you never realize how much it means to you until it's gone). I love these boys with all my heart and wish them all great happiness and success! They are truly an amazing bunch to work with and deserve a singer who is as talanted and dedicated as they are.
***Thank you all so much for supporting us all these years! I'll still see you all at the shows!
