"The Ghost Of Frankenstein" introduces Lon Chaney as the Creature. This Creature is big and powerful looking. Chaney was a darned underrated character actor but he wasn't Karloff. His Creature could kick tail and take names later. Chaney had a thick face that made the Creature makeup look too round and it lost a lot of impact. Sir Cedric Hardwicke as Henry's son is the finest actor in the movie but is overshadowed by both Lionel Atwill as Dr. Bohmer & Bela Lugosi as the resurrected Ygor. For once I don't cringe when the kid actor comes on the screen. I actually like her and she reinforces that kids like ol' Frankie. Unfortunately the movie begins to take on the look and feel of a formula horror movie....what we call a franchise today.
