Joseph W. Miles ~ Fiction Editor
Drawn to horror in both written form and on screen, Joseph Miles became a diehard fan at an early age and would later seek the culprit that fueled his childhood fears. At the tender age of 16, he often assisted a friend on her search for witches, ghosts, and other paranormal beings as the subject she chose as part of a course offered to those with surplus credits. The student was to report any and all information gathered, and Joseph became the unwitting "Igor" on her sometimes bizarre quests.
Now, standing at the gate to middle-age, he has chosen this genre as an aspiring writer and artist. His work can be seen at Demontia Magazine, Gathering Darkness and in January of 2001, Sinister Element. He has written over 10 short stories within year 2000, and also has a yet-to-be-published novel, Lea D'Archer.

Brian Knight ~ Assistant Editor / Webmaster
Fueled by a steady supply of cigarettes, black coffee, and rock music, Brian Knight strives daily to disturb and horrify through his works of fiction. He has published numberous short stories, poems, and reviews. He has authored one novel, "Black Day," one collection, "After Dark," and edited "The RARE Anthology."

He lives in Clarkston, Washington with Shawna Knight, his wife of five years, and his three children, Chris, Judi, and Ellie. Dispite Shawna's many attempts to have him legally commited, Brian remains a free man and a menace to the comunity at large.

Brian can be reached at boogieman@brian-knight.com. Visit his website, Brian-Knight.com.

Donn Gash ~ Non-Ficrion Editor / Columnist
Donn Gash lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Don't be fooled though. He hates country music, doesn't go crazy for grits, and has never made a grown man squeel like a pig. The Assistant Director of his local Humane Society, Donn has had several published articles relating to animal welfare. He has also written the text for a pet cemetery brochure(Stephen King, eat your heart out!).

When he's not playing the role of Doctor Doolittle, Donn writes tales of horror. He recently had his first fiction acceptance, and considers this step one in his plans for world domination.

As you can see by his photograph, Donn is yet another horror writer with a shaved head and a goatee. As if we needed one more.

Donn can be reached at donngash@ispchannel.com.

Sheri White ~ Columnist
Sheri White lives in Maryland with her husband, their two little girls (her oldest daughter lives with her father) and two black cats. She has been writing horror fiction for three years, and has been published many times, both online and in print. She is also a columnist for the HWA Internet Mailer and the News Editor for Twilight Showcase. She wishes scientists would discover a way for humans to go without sleep; it gets in her way.

Check out Sheri's webpage where you'll find links to current stories. Also feel free to email her, as long as you're sending along accolades or wondering where to send money.

Rob Parnell ~ Columnist
Rob Parnell Rob Parnell is English - but don't hold that against him. His varied career has encompassed being an author, journalist, musician, producer and actor. He's been variously described as a "rare talent" (TLS Aug 91), an "inspiration" (LSW Feb 94) and a "scumbag" (Ex-wife 96). He's had far too numerous to mention recording, stage, film and TV credits and yet is still not famous. Nowadays he's concentrating on his horror fantasy writing and trying to sell his novels. He'd loved a cat but, alas, hasn't got one. And, for reasons not entirely convincing, he's currently living in Australia.

Rob can be reached at parnell_rob@hotmail.com. Visit his website, Species of the Dead, at http://www.robparnell.com.

Forthcoming is a collection of stories from Double Dragon Books entitled "Restless Shades."

Serena Salieri ~ Columnist

Serena Salieri wrote her first short story in utero, as a seven month fetus. She tried beating it out in morse code, but her mother just didn't understand. Then she tried scratching the story out with a tiny fingernail on the wall of the placenta but the obstetrician didn't notice it and sent it off to wherever no longer necessary placentas go. She didn't write another story for another seven years and has been writing ever since.

Serena's work has appeared on the ezines House of Pain, Dream Forge and Story House (in the Cat Stories area). Her rather long short story Secrets is contracted to be published in the January 2001 issue of Demontia magazine. Currently she is at work on several more short stories and taking a few vicious stabs at novel writing. She writes when she isn't otherwise occuppied with her son, new husband, and the endless fascination of watching the growing love affair between her Shih Tzu puppy and her strangly unsettling cat.
