Updates
2/10/2005 - MAJOR NEWS. Sorry about the lack of updates. We have been so busy here at 13th Season Production. We have finished and are currently composing the short zombie film "The Night They Came Back" and it will be coming to DVD shortly and also hosted online, along with My Valentine. Also, Dead End Massacre is being re-edited and will be out by this summer, and will be in 16x9 format for all of you film fanatic's, and we are reshooting one scene: Nicole Capo's death scene in the car. Dead End Massacre finished shooting in late 2003, but due to lack of equipment we were unable to finish some important principal photography. Talks have been about canning the movie, but we decided to just re-edit it and get it out there for you, the horror fans. We have distribution possibilites in Germany and oversea's. We will be persuing that. The DVD for Dead End Massacre will have commentary, and behind the scenes footage. Scott Goldberg is currently working on a 30 minute short film sequel (The Night They Came Back II) in which Brandon Hannan, one of the child stars of Dead End Massacre will have a role in. The film is shooting on High Defenition in April 2005. Be on the lookout for more on that and some screenings at film festivals in the fall.
9/23/04 - Some of Dead End Massacre is composed, as other parts of it will be shot shortly, and then composed. We are currently working on a draft version of Danielle's Revenge. We are sending My Valentine to film festivals and are awaiting responses. We are sorry to inform everyone, but My Valentine was not picked for the NYCHFF this year. But, we are working on a new short film called: Danielle's Revenge, about a little girl who is bullied and takes revenge on Halloween. I will be teaming up with Five Towns College student Peter Lavalle and we are currently in the rough draft stages and will shoot principal photography in October. We are still casting as of now, and the short will be about 20 minutes and put into film festivals. This will be Scott Goldberg's latest project he will be working on.
7/24/04 - Dead End Massacre is in final stages of composing and will be put onto DVD shortly. My Valentine is already on DVD and can be ordered by emailing Scott Goldberg at: deadendcasting@hotmail.com We have two investors interested in Danielle's Revenge, and we will be meeting with them within the next three weeks.
6/1/04 - This upcoming weekend, we will be doing location scouting for Danielle's Revenge. We will be heading upstate to Pawling, NY, to look at a camping site. Also, the script is comign along well. My Valentine is being submitted to film festivals and we have not had any word back yet, but will know shortly, and when we do know, we will tell you and let you know on this page, The script is being written, and almost finished and is a cross between: A Nightmare on Elm Street/Dawn of the Dead/Friday the 13th, and Sleepaway Camp. Stay tuned for more details.
4/10/04 - Hey all, I've been working hard on the Dead End Massacre II script and it's coming along extremely well. Some cool news to show you guys...These are screen shots of the horror news site, bloody-disgusting.com, one of my favorite horror news websites...Enjoy!

3/30/04 - Hey all, sorry about the lack of updates. Dead End Massacre is on the IMDB.com! Be sure to check it out! A few kink's need to be filled in due to them mixing it with another movie. But anyway, check it out! Also, I've been working on a two short films and it's been a blast. Dead End Massacre will be out in July. Reshoots are very soon and everything is going fine. The composer will have a second draft of the music for the film. He will also be composing my short film, My Valentine, which is done with principal photography right now, and is being edited in post production. We will be showing it at a couple of film festivals this summer, hoping to make noise for Dead End Massacre while putting the first 20 minutes of it on the end of the movie. So stay tuned.
3/1/04 - Composing is going really well. I recieved a rough copy of the composed music and am very pleased with it. We will be reshooting very soon for some scenes for the movie. Christina Williams will be donning the costume a couple more times for the reshoots, and coming back are: Helen Proimos, Tyler Gulizio, Brian Michael Finn, Kathryn Weickhorst, Frank Milito, and a few more. So stay tuned for more news and even PICTURES! Dead End Massacre will defenitly be out in the summer, and sorry for the wait.
2/17/04 - The filming went really well yesterday (President's Day) Jack Lambros and Sean Maier played the roles of Josh Rubin, and David Gibson Jr. (Thanks to Brian from ModelTerrorists.com for taking the pictures!) Below are the pics:
2/15/04 - Unfortunatly, John Chang's scenes has been dropped from the film due to creative conflicts. This coming the eve before the reshoot of the "Kitchen Scene". Replacing him for his scenes with be Bob Brodermerkle, aka HorrorBob, whom is also the Executive Producer on Dead End Massacre. Bob is the website master of: www.edgewaterpictures.com . The next re-shoot for the death scene with be at JHD Productions on Saturday, Feburary 21st, 2004.
2/6/04 - I just got off the phone with Tom DeRenzo and he said the composing is nearly finished: "There's some strong stuff in there. Thing's are going very well. By the middle to end of next week I will have it composed." Also, February 7th, 2004 (tomorrow) we will be reshooting one of the scenes (small scene) with Frank Milito. Just wanted to give you all an update. And also, Feburary 16th, we will be reshooting the kitchen party scene and be replacing it with a nude scene, featuring John Chang, and some girls from: http://www.modelterrorists.com . So be sure to go over to their site and check it out. The movie is still being edited. More updates very soon."

1/23/03 - Here's a clip from a DVD extra section for the film, which is being worked on by John Chang. Frank Milito, Dead End Massacre's lead actor tells his idea for the ending of the film at a early rehearsal...
1/13/04 - Dead End Massacre hires Tom DeRenzo as the musical composer. Composing will start in 2 weeks and sound effects are being added to the timeline of the movie. The DVD will be out right before Summer 2004. Sorry for the wait.
1/7/04 - The Posters for Dead End are being worked on by John Chang and will be ready in three months to sell on the site. And some unfortunate news. The DVD authoring, will take 4-6 weeks, so Dead End will be moved from Feburary to mid March or even April, but do not disparidge, because the DVD will be pakced with awesome stuff. Also, you wouldn't want a bare-bones DVD like Paramount puts out, like the Friday the 13th DVD's, do you? Didn't think so. Anyway, I'm going to post old pictures from the shoot last April with the bullies, Jason (Brandon Hannan) and Steven (Max MacDonald):

12/25/03 - Merry Christmas. John Chang, over at Big Town Productions, whiped up a little Dead End Behind The Scenes Commentary Video, which you csn view at: Changy Chang . On another news, involving Dead End Massacre II, I talked with David Gibney, the lead role in Sleepaway Camp 4, and he's interested in trying out for the lead role in Part II for when the script is done. He's told me a lot of behind the scenes information about his character and the movie, but I can't say anything about it. Just know that it's FUNNY and really cool.
12/8/03 - Due to other movies coming out this year and in the past, with the title Dead End, we will be renaming the film. As of now it's Dead End, but once it changes, we will let you know. The two top choices for the name of the film are: Danielle's Revenge and Dead End Massacre. If you would like to comment on what you think would be the best title then drop us a line at: deadendcasting@hotmail.com . Most of the scenes are done edited and composing will start very soon.
12/2/03 - Screenshot's taken from the editing system of a few clips from Dead End. Something to wet your thirst... :)

11/22/03 - The cast and crew (very limited), got together one last time, this time during post production, to shoot a few extra shots for Dead End. This marked a three month absence of filming, since the film had been in post production since early september. Below are pics:

11/20/03 - On the eve of when Felipe Barbagelata passed away in the early morning of November 21st, 1998, there is some good news concerning Dead End. First off, Dead End was on the front page of the local newspaper, the Gold Coast Gazette, for the following week from November 20th-27th, so if you live on Long Island, and in the surround areas of: Glen Cove, Glen Head, Sea Cliff, and nearby, be sure to pick up a copy. For those who cannot pick it up, images are posted below (sorry about the size). Also, I recieved a phone call from Tammy Porto, of the NY International Film and Video Expo, and we talked, and we will be sending in a rough edit of Dead End, because next week, there will be a panel of producers and movie executives from such production companies as Miramax, so that would be a good idea to send in Dead End for review. The composing will be done in bits, starting next week. It will be done in Lawrence, NY (right outside of NYC, on Long Island in the Five Towns area). Below is pics of the paper, enjoy!

10/31/03 - A very Happy Halloween to all of those around the globe. Dead End will be out in December on DVD, and there was going to be a special screening November 8th, 2003 but that was called off, due to final touches being made in editing. The CD, entitled: DEAD END - The Soundtrack will be available in late January. Also, plans are being made to include the Dead End trailer on the DVD "Star Struck", a short film in which John Chang is making DVD's for. You can order "Star Struck", by emailing John Chang at: jchang@angelfire.com Also, a new scene will be added into Dead End, in which we will be shooting this weekend, on Sunday in Babylon.
10/23/03 - Composing is on hold for now due to the composer moving to Italy for unexpected reasons. We are now hiring someone else as the composer to finish the movie. The movie will be on DVD in December, on either December 13th, or December 25th. We will let everyone know as soon as the movie is finished. Also, the trailer will be featured on two DVD trailers in which Actor/Filmmaker John Chang is putting out. The two DVD's and their names are not know as of this time, but we will let you know as soon as we get confirmation from John.
10/01/03 - Yesterday, I recieved some unfortunate sad news in the mail. The Festival that we've been working our asses off to make the deadline for, The New York City Horror Film Festival, rejected our movie to be shown at their event this year. They explained in the letter that over a hundred feature and short films were submitted, and "while Dead End was quite entertaining, it did not get enoguh votes to get picked to play at this years event". That is very unfortunate news, but we are submitting it into many other local film festivals and around the East area and even in California and other states. The movie is being fully composed next week, and will be ready for submission in early November, and the DVD is still scheduled for the 21st of November. E-mail Scott at: deadendcasting@hotmail.com if you'd like to order a copy. Also, the soundtrack will be available January 1st, 2004.
9/25/03 - We have sent in the tape for the New York City Horror Film Festival, and hope to get news back soon, and we will keep you up to date. Anyway, Helen Primos, Brandon Hannan and I (Scott Goldberg), went to Cablevision Studios today in Lynbrook, Long Island and did an interview for 'Indies Insiders', a show about independent film makers, and we got to meet Vinny Vella. He is a really nice man, as is the crew of the Cablevision studio. We were taped and will be on the TV really soon, on local Long Island channels.
9/24/03 - The non-finished composed version of the movie will be sent in tomorrow to the NYC Horror Film Festival, and if picked, will be shown in late October in NYC at the Tribeca Film Center. Going this weekend into the city to get the music composed for the movie. DVD authorizing, by John Chang, will start soon, and DVD commentary tracks are scheduled to be done on the second weekend in October. Still scouting locations for Dead End II (which is the tentative name, and will possibly be changed)
9/11/03 - Such great news on a really tragic day. Anyway, we are wrapping up post production and will be done early next week and then submitting to the NYC Horror Film Festival and many other film festivals. The movie will be on DVD on November 21st, 2003. John Chang will be designing and putting together the DVD Package, and the DVD features include: Commentary with Cast/Crew, Bloopers, Trailers, Deleted Scenes, Special 1 Hour Behind The Scenes Footage, Scenes from the 1999 Version of Dead End, and a few other fun stuff! Talks for Dead End 2 are coming along very well, and we are scouting locations in both Long Island, NYC, NJ, and Upstate NY. The treatment is being written right now. Audio dubbing for the cast is occuring tomorrow and Friday to dub in some voices, and sound effects. Thank you all for your patience and we will be selling the DVD on the website. If you'd like to order it, please e-mail Scott at: deadendcasting@hotmail.com Thank you
8/11/03 - We have finished up production for Dead End and are in post production right now. Some great news to come along. The Sequel, not yet named, is being written by Scott Goldberg, Frank Milito, Dan DiLauro, and Jason Costanza. Scott talks about the first meeting: "The first meeting was tonight, and it was very productive. We will all meet up again on Wenesday and brainstorm more idea's. I really love how things are going with the idea's. For a first meeting, we have gotten far. I can tell you this: We have came up with the idea that the sequel will take place two years later, after the first movie." There has been a 90 page script written, but the script will not be used. DVD date will be October 30th, 2003.
7/24/03 - Hey all, for those of you who are DYING, heh, to see some pictures, here are some 'Behind The Scenes' pictures from the shoot on July 19th, 2003 in Glen Cove, Long Island. Sorry for the long wait. Hope you all enjoy, and we will be finishing up filming next week. Have a great rest of summer, and the DVD will be out in late October - mid November. If anyone knows where in Glen Cove these shots were filmed, please e-mail us at: deadendcasting@hotmail.com with the title 'Trivia Answer' and if you get it right, you will win a free prop from that day.

7/22/03 - We are sorry for the lack of updates. We have been extremely busy filming Dead End and the footage is great, and everything is coming out extremely well. We are finishing up filming next week and post production will be starting soon. The pictures will be updated by the beginning of August and sorry for the wait. More news coming soon!
7/6/03 - We are sad to say that Francis Leik will not be able to play the role of Mr. Kiernan due to schedule conflicts for next week's shoot. Replacing him, with a week left to go for filming is Gary D. Morgan. We wish Francis the best of luck on his current and future project's and look for him in Dead End II. We are casting right now for Dead End II, which seems like it will kick start pre-production this fall and are looking for actors and actresses. We have put out a few casting call's on the internet for Dead End II, so if you're an actor from the NY area and you would like to be in Dead End II: Danielle's Revenge, please e-mail me at: deadendcasting@hotmail.com . In other news, the mask is done, and the pictures will be on the site as soon as Jason Zyla from Nightmare FX takes pictures of them. Filming is next week, shooting from 7 am - 11 pm, both days. If there is anyone would like to do some hands on work, we always need extra help, so please e-mail me. The Dead End Soundtrack is filling up, and will have 20 songs on it. Whether it be clips of the songs, or songs in the credits, all of the songs will be featured in the movie. We have a lot of blocking to do this week with the actors, and by next Monday, we will have pictures up from the weekend of shooting, to keep you guys up to date on how things went. Below are molding pictures of the mask. Enjoy!

6/27/03 - Pictures of the final mold for the mask will be posted soon in this section. A short statement was released by Anthony Pepe of Demonic Pumpkins on the 'Bob Kiernan' dummy piece: "The lifecast went well, and I am going to demold it tomorrow. I should have the skin and understructure set by middle of next week. Everything is running smoothly on my side." We have been blocking for the scenes. The first shooting date is: Saturday, July 12th, 2003. Scott Goldberg, the director, will be doning the mask for that day as 'the killer' for the night scene.
6/23/03 - Happy Birthday to Dead End director, Scott Goldberg, now 21 years old. We have recieved from Demonic Pumpkins the early plaster of paris version of the 'Bob Kiernan' headpiece. Here is a pic of it:
6/17/03 - We have lifecasted the head and shoulders of Keith Dillon, whom is playing the role of Bob Kiernan for Dead End. Below are small pictures to wet your appetite. The pics of the mask and it's progress shall be up within the next week or two and we will be recieving it from Nightmare FX by July 4th, 2003.

6/1/03 - We have casted Tania (pronounced Tanya) Wilk as the killer of Dead End. She will be playing the role of the older Danielle Stevenson, full in costume. We'd like to welcome Tania aboard with Dead End. In other news, production stuff, we are very fortunate to have a steady cam and 80 foot crane and other goodies donated for filming in July. Thanks to John, we love you man. Also, we've been rehearsing for July, and thing's are going well. Tomorrow, Monday, Brian Finn and Kathryn W. are going to be rehearsing with Scott for the party scene. Shooting dates are etched in stone, and a few more might be added, depending on if we need to shoot more: July 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th. Three of the days are being filmed at JHD Productions in Deer Park, Long Island. If anyone would like to help out on crew, and be a Production Assistant, please do not hesitate to e-mail Scott at: deadendcasting@hotmail.com. Lifecasting for one of the death scenes will be done within the next two weeks in Queens. If we do not find a kid to play Lonnie Kiernan (age 7), we will be be scratching off that character. And many thanks for all the people who have been linking us up to their profiles on AOL Instant Messanger.
5/21/03 - Filming for April 2003 finished up on May 17th, 2003 and the pictures shall be up very soon. Interviews were added to the site about 4 days ago, so be sure to check that out as well. Today, the Special FX Team and I met up to discuss the death scenes, and special effect's for Dead End. We've got some great deaths in store for all of you horror fans ..... Confirmed dates of the 2nd Annual NYC Horror Film Festival, which we will be submitting Dead End to, is: October 22nd-October 26th, 2003. Be sure to attend, won't you? Also, added to the site within the next two months, will be merchandise, and props which you may buy, straight off the set! So stay tuned for that. Finishing up the casting for Dead End within the next week.
5/16/03 - We will finish up the last shots of the 1994 scenes tomorrow. Dan Russell has unfortunately left production as the lifecasting person on the film.
5/10/03 - We'd like to welcome about Tyler Gulizio, whom will playing the role of Anthony Capo. We are still in search for the role of Lonnie Kiernan, but if we can't find someone by the end of May, we will cut that character out of the script. Last night, Dan DiLauro and Randy Barrier did an excellent job in a directed scene of The Zoo Story, by Edward Albee, at Five Towns College. Patent Pending might be playing in the party scene for Dead End. Joe, the guitarist, will let me know as soon as he can for if they can do it. We are still accepting CD's from bands so if you or someone you know is in a band, please have them contact us at: deadendcasting@hotmail.com. Harmony Bliss will not be playing the role of Melanie Wild. Replacing her as the sexy bimbo gal is Syn Devil, and you can check out her site at: http://www.syndevil.com. Lifecasting will be done on the 26th of May for the sex scene. Filming is resuming Saturday, May 17th, 2003, in Glen Cove, and Deer Park later in the day where will be filming some inside scenes, such as the first built set of Dead End and a couple of more scenes. That's all the news for now... until later...stay scared.
5/2/03 - Due to schedule conflicts in the summer, Carrie Graham will no long be playing the role of Dana Kiernan. Replacing her is Nicole Andersen, and playing the role of the mother, is her actual mother in her real life. This is not the first time they have played mother/daughter roles. We wish Carrie the best in her future endeavors to become an actress and she will be missed. Also, new pictures shall be added to the site very soon.
5/1/03 - Aloha Amigos! Scott Goldberg here with some news. The site is done and we are updating it as we get things finished for the movie. Thanks to Horror Bob, a native of Long Island, for doing the site. He did a great job, and we hope you like it better than our old, .tk site. We are still looking to cast for some roles, and we need extra's for the summer too, so if you are interested, contact me at: deadendcasting@hotmail.com. The April scenes went really well, but we have to shoot three more scenes, that will be done on May 17th, 2003. We are having Joe Zahn build a set at JHD Productions, in which will resemble a padded psychiatric ward room....thing. Yeah, so that's going to be fun. Also, we will be shooting the impalement of the wedge trimmer into poor ol' Steven Doyle. Of course, we're not really impaling a real person. We're using a lifecast body, thanks to Dan Russel, one of the Special FX artists. Anyway, that's all the news for now. New pictures shall be up soon. Have a great day.
