Pumpkin & Spider Themed

This year was a big change in our yard haunt. We built 72 feet of fence to
cover our yard. The small posts were topped with Skull Whistle Finials (toyguy)
. The large posts were topped with Pumpkin Pails and lit with low voltage
yard lighting (Malibu) (modified from Home Haunters Handbook from TerrorSyndicate.com).
The base directions for the fence found on the MONSTER LIST of PROJECTS created by
Mark Butler: http://markbutler.8m.com/monsterlist.htm There are two great
fence links that give great directions.
We also made several tombstones that went behind the fence. The Pillsbury
doughboy tombstone hid a pnuematic popup that scared a few people. We also
had strobe lights, scary music, a pnuematic witch popping out (TerrorSyndicate.com), and a teen
acting dead in the lawn. Spider buckys, and a werewolf with flickering
eyes (Hauntmaster Products).
We gave out skull whistles and candy to over 200 kids. Everyone had a good time.
Nobody in the neighborhood had anything even close to our display. Many neighbors
came to see it up close. The fence is going down Sat Nov 4th, but even up to
then people were stopping to check it out. "Where did you buy it?",and "You really
decorated your fence nice"(assuming it was a real wrought iron fence) were among
the comments heard while it was up.
More pictures later.
(Thanks to Ken & Jim for taking these with their digital cameras)
