On Saturday July 10 & Sunday, July 11, 2004, A Screaming Success
Productions will hold its 7th annual “Hands On” Haunted Attraction
Workshop. The site of This years workshop will be at the award winning
attraction, The Haunt, (www.the-haunt.com) in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
This year’s workshop will feature a slightly different format than the general
format offered in previous years, offering several specialized workshop classes.
With each of the workshops concentrating on a specific area or topic of
interest. This will allow attendees to choose the workshop that most suits their
interest s or haunt needs, but still have the opportunity to spend the day with
fellow haunters, and haunt enthusiasts. This years workshop will be packed full
of extra special creature features, and promises something for everyone, from
the veteran to the novice and everyone in between.
The cost for each workshop offered is an affordable $75.00. Most workshops will
be offered both on Saturday and Sunday for those looking to fit two different ones
into their weekend. Look for the following areas to be covered by a workshop:
Pneumatics, Controllers and Triggers, Haunted Attraction Acting, Prop Building
and Special Effects, The Business Side of Haunting, Haunted Attraction Design,
Construction, Fabrication. These“Hands On” Workshops are geared with an
emphasis on learning by doing. Each workshop will have a limited number of students
allowed to sign up, making it easier for the workshop instructors to allow for more
individualized attention and instruction. On both Saturday and Sunday the day
workshops will begin at 9:30 am and wrap up at 4:00 pm. Giving attendees a chance
to either shop the vendor area or relax before the evening activities. Each paid
workshop registration fee includes, continental breakfast, lunch, and afternoon
snack, access to our on site vendor area, and a chance to win one of many wonderful
door prizes contributed courtesy of our generous participating vendors.
We also have a list of several special activities planned during the course of the
weekend, but the one not to be missed is The Haunt Dinner and Tours the evening
of Saturday,July 10, 2004. The cost is just $20.00 per person for dinner and haunt
tours, $15.00 for the haunt tours alone. Pre-registration is necessary for the dinner.
Again, we have assembled for you one of the finest slates of instructor that the
haunt industry has to offer for this years workshops. Featuring the bad boyz of sound
and lighting, John Piva and Stan Jung, Leonard Pickel of Haunted Attraction Magazine,
D.O.A., and Hauntrepreneurs International, and many more haunt industry leaders…
