INSTRUCTIONS
Working in small sections dab on carpenters glue to the bone.
Stick on your cotton. You can use cotton balls, cotton batting or what
I used - pillow fluff.
After it dries use your paint brush and saturate
the cotton with the carpet adhesive (poor mans latex). I bought this at Home Depot
for $10 a gallon. It's called Henry's #663 Inside/Outside Carpet Adhesive. While the adhesive is still wet you can thin out
or lump up the cotton with the brush. Let dry. It's best to let this dry out in the sun. If drying indoors it can stay tacky for weeks.
Outside it usually takes an hour.
After it's dry use a damp sponge or paintbrush
and using Miniwax Gel Stain (Mahogany 605) dab on. The good thing about
using the sponge is that after it's dry you can cut off the corner that
is stain hardened and reuse. That's it. The stain dries to a scab color and
any glue that's showing dries to a nice pus color.
