I still need to refine the hands. I am not happy with the skeleton hand/gloves she
has. She is made from 2 tomato cages laced together with telephone wire to
stabilize her. I put them over a cement stand to keep her upright. Her garment is
Hefty garbage bags. Her face is Crayola Modeling Compound that was
pressed in the 'Living Faces' witch plastic form. I painted it black, then
sponge painted green in some areas with a little purple highlights for the
eyes and warts. It is attatched with paperclips to a styrofoam wig form
on a pvc pole stuck on the bottom wires of the tomato cage. Her eyes were
blinking eyeballs bought after halloween at Kmart last year . One was not lighting, so I took them apart and put in new
nonblinking Christmas mini bulbs and painted red lines and white around the
iris. The hat with orange hair and pantyhose for her arms and collar were
from Walmart. I had wanted to do this prop after seeing Toyguy's wonderful witch [The "99" version was my favorite!].The clincher was finding the BBQ motor at
Target a week or so ago. I got the BBQ idea from Larry Lund's page. The
motor is mounted using scrap wood in the bottom of a plastic cauldron. I stuck an old thin curtain rod in
the motor shaft and crimped it until it fit. I bent it slightly so she
"stirs". She is sitting out on the porch. My older daughter keeps reminding me that it is only August!!
I have put links to Larry's and Toyguy's pages to see other variations
