2006 Dragon Egg popup

The basic mechanism inside is a 20" stroke air cylinder for vertical movement of the dragon head and two little 1" stroke air cylinders to tip the cylinder forward

The 2.5 inch PVC elbow was used to channel the fog fromt the fog machine into the flexible vinyl dryer ducting.

In the extended state, the vinyl dryer ducting takes the glycol fog into the head/mask without much condensation loss

A 2 inch pvc elbow at the top diverts the fog forward and is channeled into 2 half inch tubes that funnel through the 2 nostrils

The egg was 1st paper mached on a 24" balloon and then I fiberglassed the egg. I was sure the fiberglass resin would dissolve the balloon, so the paper mache was needed

Red fabric covered the neck and vinyl ducting. Some fog was lost, but had a decent amount comming out the nose
Because I ran both the vertical cylinder and the little 1" stroke tipping cylinders on the same air regulator, I had issues with retracting the tipping cylinders with enough force. If I had a 2nd regulator on the tipping cylinders, I could have applied more force.
