2004 Fremont, CA Yard Haunt
2004 Yard haunt was done as a one time haunt in Fremont due to Matt (my friend I haunt with for last 8 years) in Walnut Creek having a 6 day old baby.
Tried some new things this year that were very successful. Used looping scream tracks on MP3 players hooked to powered speakers
to give triggered sound for the pneumatic popup, very loud and scary, very reliable. Used the Spencer's flying witch on rope and pulleys hooked to a 30" stroke air cylinder to
make it swing at people when motion sensor triggered. I added a pulley on the end of the air cylinder to get 60" movement with 30" stroke air cylinder and did not need it. If using
a small air cylinder, you could get double the motion by putting a pulley on the air cylinder. (sailing rope & pulley technology)
Rocking tombstone visible in front. Props marked with red arrows are pneumatic driven. Dyed the friendly blow up 8ft frankenstein BLACK with acid dye for nylon and painted scary flourescent face on him.
The Gauntlet drawn in Blue Arrows that TOTs have to brave 3 pneumatic popups triggering at multiple times to make it to the candy. Got quite a few kids
running for their lives. Parents thanking us for putting on a good scare of their kids that had feigned bravery.
Put modified Boris Skull on top of rubber skelly. Had it singing together with a Scary Terry servo driven skull. Unfortunately
the singing skulls skeleton were too close to the pneumatic popups, so kids were mainly running forward and backward and did not enjoy them. Next year put them down by the street.
