My cemetery pilars needed some lighting. After much searching, and not finding what I wanted I made my own. These were very simple to put together, and I finally got to use my pop rivet gun.

Here are the tool I used for the project, a drill, pliers, dremel tool with cutoff wheel, and pop rivet gun. I used 3/4 x 1/16" rectangular aluminum bar. I cut 3 pieces 15" long and bent them for the legs. Then I took another piece and made 2 metal rings to fit around the bottom of the plastic globe. I bent one more piece to make a hoop to go around the globe.

Here are the 3 legs i made. I bent these using a pair of pliers and a little muscle. I drilled holes through the legs and one of the rings. Then attached them with pop rivets. I attached the metal hoop to the 2nd ring. I added a little plastic lamp finial to the top to dress it up a little.
Below you can see the finished lamp. I cut a 2" thick piece of foam into a circle that fin inside the metal rings. I carved out a hole in the center and place a light socket inside. A coat of flat black paint and they were ready to go. I also carved a base from foam for them to sit on. I wire them up with a fluorescent lamp starter to gi ve them that gas flickery look and I had a set of cool lights to guide souls into the cemetery
